The active phase of the hair growth, “Anagen”, or
the growth and recovery period of the hair cycle denotes the underlying
creation or the re-growth of the lower segment of the hair follicle.
The Anagen Needs Six Sub-stages

The anagen stage is regularly partitioned into six sub-stages,
the first involves the growth of the dermal papilla and expansion of the epithelium
in the following stage, there is then a down-development of the bulb root cells
which wrap the dermal papilla; separation of the dermal papilla into the hair
shaft and internal root sheath cells start.
